I followed them and it worked fine for me, using ubuntu 8.04.(printing on LAN). I just had to add one directory (/usr/share/cups/model). This was asked during the execution of i think "mfc440cncupwrapper-1.0.1-1.i386.deb". The program could not find the /model directory to place the *ppd file in it. After i created the / /model directory i run the mfc440cncupwrapper-1.0.1-1.i386.deb again. That was all !!! Thanks a lot MacRib Hi,
thanks for writing these instructions. I followed them and it worked fine for me, using ubuntu 8.04.(printing on LAN).

But thanks anyway for the article .. which provides directions .. and keep posting these articles ... Click There is a much simpler way..
